Construction spending in September was slightly down from September 2015, but has been slightly up for the first 9 months of 2016, AGC of America reports. Ken Simonson, AGC chief economist, points to a need for greater public infrastructure spending:
There is still plenty of oomph in private demand for construction and growing support for school construction, but public infrastructure investment is crumbling just when it is needed most.” - said Ken Simonson
