Cleveland Leaders invovled in Opportunity Corridor look for lessons in Milwaukee
Last week, a group of civic leaders from Cleveland involved with the Opportunity Corridor project traveled to Milwaukee to see what they could learn. One of the lessons they took from the experience, according to Steven Litt of The Plain Dealer, is that the city of Cleveland needs to exercise a strong leadership role in the planning and execution of this project. As one of the participants in the trip commented:
The city [of Milwaukee] and its partners here were intentional about what they wanted to happen... That's something we need to do better in Opportunity Corridor." -Chris Alvarado, executive director of the Slavic Village Development Corp. in Cleveland
